LEGACY BRAIN & SPINE, LLC is a medical practice that leverages the extensive years of Dr. Elshihabi’s experience and existing client base to provide an extremely valuable and sought-after brain and spine surgical service to a growing population of Cobb County and metro Atlanta.
Dr. Said Elshihabi is a board-certified neurosurgeon with personal interest and emphasis in the management of spinal disorders. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center – San Antonio, and pursued a neurosurgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Elshihabi completed an inclusive fellowship in Spine Surgery with Dr. T. Glenn Pait, and has been in private practice for over ten years.
He is referred to by patients and team members alike as “Dr. E”. Dr. Elshihabi has a passion for guiding patients on their spine journey and prides himself on informing his patients about their spinal disorders, utilizing all educational tools at his disposal to ease the anxiety associated with spinal disease. He firmly believes in being available, affable, and accommodating to his patients at all times.

Educated as an Adult -Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Kristen has over 20 years of nursing experience. She also has considerable expertise in patient care management and in leading teams in the clinical and academic settings. She has worked in areas such as clinical trials, neurosurgery and inter-professional education.
Kristen Coleman began her journey into nursing in 2001 with Bishop State Community College. She went on to obtain her BSN, MSN-Ed, post masters Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) and post masters Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
She previously presented at local and national conferences on topics including: Post-Operative Nausea Vomiting in the Post-Surgical Patient, Implementing Cardiac Pathways and Nursing Communication. Her published and non-published research work titles are:

As a Nurse Practitioner with Legacy, you will see Kristen assess, diagnose and treat patients with neurosurgical disorders and assist Dr. Elshihabi in the operating room.
APRN, MSN, FNP-BC, CNRN, CAQ-HM
Nurse Practitioner, Heidi Meyer, has been caring for neurology and neurosurgical patients since 1992. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University, she was a neuroscience ICU RN at the University of Virginia. She then expanded her knowledge when she earned her Master of Science in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner in 1995 from Emory University graduating Summa Cum Laude.
She has dedicated her career to working with neurology and neurosurgical patients, becoming certified in 1997 as a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse with the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. Since 1996, Heidi has provided neurologic care as a nurse practitioner in the Marietta area.
She has been honored several times for her work in nursing and published articles related to stroke and migraine. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society for Nursing.
She recently became Certified with Added Qualification in Headache Medicine by the National Headache Foundation. At Legacy Brain and Spine, Heidi’s experience and caring nature along with her ability to listen to her patients provides her tools to improve the quality of life of her patients.
Her specialties include migraine, concussion, sleep disorders, nerve pain, memory loss, tremors, neck and back pain, and dizziness. Heidi treats her patients like family.
