Experience with templating provider schedules, appointment scheduling, referral management, and EClinicalWorks EMR is highly desirable.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
This position provides back-up support to both the Intake and Injury Clinical Coordinators to ensure all incoming referrals are processed timely, all cases are followed through to treatment discharge while providing a high level of customer service to patients, and all incoming referral sources, i.e. physicians, attorney offices and funding companies.
Experience with medical lien and personal injury case management, new referral patient appointment scheduling, and EClinicalWorks EMR is highly desirable.
We have an immediate need for a full-time Medical Assistant that also has Medical Documentation skills.
Duties include the following:
Entering the patient room with the physician during patient.
Visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation.
Utilizing electronic medical record applications.
Ensuring medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation.
Updating patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information regarding the patient.
Preparing and sending all documentation to the physician for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.
Providing additional Medical Assistant coverage duties as needed.
Experience with eClinical Works or Epic EMR, Muscular skeletal/Neurosurgery, and/or orthopedics (spine) is highly desirable.
